Weaving Glances es un programa de formación financiado por Erasmus+, que pretende sensibilizar y dotar a los profesionales del trabajo de calle de herramientas innovadoras para el desarrollo social y comunitario. Focalizado en trabajar la Xenofobia, el racismo y el machismo entre otras cosas.
Weaving Glances is a training program financed by Erasmus+, which aims to raise awareness and provide street youth work professionals with innovative tools for social and community development. Focused on working on Xenophobia, racism and sexism among other things.
Objetivos
Generar conciencia y discurso crítico entre los profesionales de educación de calle sobre la situación de descomposición social en la que vivimos.
Entender el racismo como un fenómeno que nos afecta a todos.
Conocer datos reales sobre las migraciones Europeas.
Desarrollar dinámicas para la promoción de una cultura de igualdad y respeto.
Goals
The aim is to raise awareness and critical discourse among street youth education professionals about the situation of social decomposition in which we live.
To understand racism as a phenomenon that affects us all.
To learn real data on European migrations.
To develop dynamics for the promotion of a culture of equality and respect.

Location
Training venue will take place in "Emakumeen etxea" (Women's house), this space is located in the city center of Vitoria-Gasteiz and close to the hostel.

Vitoria-Gasteiz is the capital of the Basque Country. Since 1950 the city has changed a lot because of important industrialization.
Vitoria-Gasteiz has a population of more or less 240,000 inhabitants.
The city was the European Green Capital in 2012, due to Vitoria has a green ring around it, with more than 11000 hectares (27,000 acres) of trees and different species of animals. There are also a lot of tracks for walking and cycing.
The old town of Vitoria Gasteiz maintains the Gothic layout and its elliptical and narrow streets, with steep cantons and old and restored palaces. The names of its streets conserve those of the guild activities of that time: “Cuchilleria, Herreria, Zapateria...”.

Vitoria-Gasteiz seamlessly blends its medieval heritage with modern architecture. The historic center, with its narrow streets and charming squares, stands in stark contrast to the contemporary buildings found in newer districts.
A Cycling Paradise:
Vitoria-Gasteiz has one of the most extensive networks of cycling paths in Spain. It's common to see people of all ages pedaling around the city, enjoying the convenience and environmental benefits of cycling.

Four trainers are available to provide training in three different modules, according to their subject matter expertise:
- Inner Look: Privilege and Internalized Racism.
- Intercultural Look: Anti-rumour and Attitude Generation.
- Feminist and Intersectional Look: Transforming Our Doing and Being.
Nontokozo C. Sedibe-Sabic
She is an expert in diversity education, non-discrimination, oppression awareness and conflict management. It shares knowledge about conscious living, advocates for climate and social justice, regenerative education and conscious living. He firmly believes in UBUNTU, an African indigenous knowledge system: "I am because we are". From this perspective and from indigenous wisdom, it proposes methodologies for facilitating and managing projects and groups.
Lucía Rodriguez Obregon
She is a trainer, analyst and social researcher. She works at the Begirune foundation and is an expert in migration, stereotypes, prejudices and discriminatory attitudes. Since her role in Begirune she has researched issues of inclusion, socio-cultural diversity and intercultural perspective especially linked to bridge methodologies such as the Antiumor networks in Spain.
Alejandra Codesal Celorio
Is a social educator, expert in feminisms, sexual diversity and gender with experience in accompanying people from the perspective of sexual and gender diversity. It uses methodologies from Education for Social Transformation (inspired by Popular Education) in its socio-educational practice. She has worked for more than 5 years as a street youth worker at IRSEARABA S.Coop.
Llanos Sáez Pérez
She is a social and technical educator in equality specialized in sexual and gender diversity. She works as an equality technician and social educator at IRSEARABA S.Coop
